Cheesy Sausage Pierogi Bake
Ingredients
16 ounces frozen pierogis
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 pound kielbasa, sliced
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon chopped parsley, for garnish
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pierogis according to package instructions, Drain and set aside. Preheat oven to 375.
In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add kielbasa slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside. In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Lower heat and stir in cream cheese and milk. Whisk until smooth. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
In a 9 x 7 baking dish, add pierogis and sausage. Pour cheese sauce on top and .mix gently. Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until bubbly. Garnish with parsley.
