Apple Cider Glazed Sausage Rounds
Ingredients
1 pound smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
1 cup apple cider
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Pinch salt
1 tablespoon butter
Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish
Directions
Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add sausage rounds and sear until browned on both sides.
In a bowl, whisk apple cider, brown sugar, maple syrup, Dijon, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Pour into the skillet with the sausage. Simmer 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and syrupy. Add butter and stir until blended.. Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle remaining glaze over the top. Garnish with thyme or parsley.
